When I first got my CPAP, I loved it!! The Dr said I was one of their best patients. I wore it every night. I always thought I slept pretty good with it. The only reason I wanted the mouth device was to eliminate the need to travel with the CPAP unit. It was such a pain. I thought I would just use the mouth device when I traveled and continue with the CPAP use at home. Well, last December, while I was on a trip, I couldn’t get over how good I was sleeping. I decided to try using the mouth device at home and I got the same results. I was sleeping sooooo good. I was no longer fighting with the tube every time I moved. I decided to have another sleep study done using my mouth device and was shocked to see that I scored a perfect ZERO! NO snoring or sleep apnea was detected using the mouth device. I’ve been using the mouth device ever since.
My husband Dennis also received a diagnosis of obstructed sleep apnea. He just went straight for the mouth device. He’s had to tweak his appliance a bit more because he never had orthodontics, but he’s no longer snoring and he is sleeping better.
