As the founder and CEO of Maple Shade Dental Group, Dr. Willey has provided gentle dental care to the people of Peoria since 1986. He is best known for having outstanding character and compassion for his patients.
Dr. Willey graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1985. His career path has taken him from studying functional orthodontics including Pediatric Guided Growth Development at the United States Dental Institute, a five year course for the general dentist, to Neuromuscular Occlusion from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, to treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea with Oral Appliance Therapy. Dr. Willey received Oral Appliance training for the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea from Edward P. Spiegel, D.D.S., founder of Dental Innovations, LLC and pioneer in the field of dental sleep medicine. All of these areas of dentistry deal significantly with the neuromuscular positioning of the lower jaw and have proven to be a natural progression in his studies. He has been awarded recognition in the field of TMD Developmental Diagnosis, Neuromuscular Coronoplasty and Mastering Neuromuscular Occlusion. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academies of Sleep Medicine, Dental Sleep Medicine, and a Diplomate of the Academy of Clinical Sleep Disorders Dentistry.
As the father of four, Dr. Willey enjoys interaction with children, young people and adults. He is an avid down hill skier; he loves golf, scuba diving and living life to the fullest! He and his wife, Donna, co-pastor the Richland Bridge Fellowship Church in Chillicothe, IL. Much of their traveling time is spent in an effort to uplift and encourage others personal walk with God.
